Equipment

  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 Whisk

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (full-fat recommended)
  • 2 tbsp Sweet & Smoky BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Hot Water
  • 1-2 drops Liquid Smoke (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, stir the sugar into the hot water until it is completely dissolved. This is the secret to a smooth, non-gritty sauce
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, yellow mustard, and honey.
  • Pour the dissolved sugar water into the main bowl. Add the optional liquid smoke if using. Whisk everything together until the sauce is uniform in color and perfectly smooth.
  • For the best flavor, cover the bowl and allow the sauce to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Recipe Notes: Store your homemade sauce in an airtight container (like a mason jar or squeeze bottle) in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
